Faculty

The long time faculty at Kiddie Kampus consists of certified teachers that range from a CDA to Masters Degrees. Each staff member is required to have a background check and fingerprinting done PRIOR to starting at Kiddie Kampus. Staff members are CPR trained and certified. Due to the fact that Kiddie Kampus is a licensed center, all faculty members must work on continuing education and training every year. Kiddie Kampus has several staff members that are MAT certified which allows them to administer medication when a medical form is completed.

Rachel Norton

Owner and Director

When Rachel Norton became the owner of Kiddie Kampus of Medford in February of 2008, she immediately brought her personal education philosophy to the program. Ms. Norton’s philosophy embraces the idea that children should feel welcomed at school and have the opportunity to learn in a warm, loving environment built on structure, activities, play, and discovery. 
  
Ms. Norton holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Prior to being the owner of Kiddie Kampus Ms. Norton has been involved with several early childcare programs. She is a member of the Suffolk County Childcare Council, the National Association of the Education of Young Children, and the Long Island Leadership Committe for Childcare in New York State. Additionally, she previously worked as the Director of one of the largest childcare programs on Long Island, in Nassau County, which consisted of 250 children. 

 

Since taking ownership Ms. Norton has completely redesigned and renovated the facility, and added infant and toddler programs. These programs are structured to promote Kindergarten readiness, as well as parent, family, and community involvement with each child while also promoting self-help skills for the children to develop their individuality.

Sidorela Rapce

Assistant Director

Although Ms. Sidorela is new to Long Island, she brings more than a decade’s worth of experience in the field from Brooklyn to Kiddie Kampus. Ms. Sidorela began her career path in Early Childhood Education as a Teacher’s Assistant from a young age and quickly advanced to Operations Manager, all while taking courses towards her Bachelor’s degree. She is well versed in her role as Assistant Director and is familiar with both the Department of Education and the Department of Health, as well as Universal Pre-k. 

Ms. Sidorela is responsible for managing the everyday operations, program development, and supervising the teaching staff. She is due to receive her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education before the end of the 2024 year with the goal to reeceive her Master’s Degree in Special Education. 

Angela Rattien

Office Manager

Ms. Angela joined the Early Childhood education field as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2007 and has always loved working with children for their honesty and pure nature. She has lived on Long Island most of her life and is a Registered Nurse aspiring to become a Nurse Practioner, specializing in Pediatric Care.

Working behind the scenes at Kiddie Kampus as Office Manager, Ms. Angela is responsible for responding to phone calls, reviewing intake and medical paperwork, as well as carring out necessary duties assigned by the administrative staff. She has a decade worth of Legal Office Experience, is a wiz with a computer and is a Native Spanish Speaker. 

Bianca Broere

Lead Teacher

A St. Joseph’s University Alumni, with distinction, Ms. Bianca is an esteemed member of the Kiddie Kampus staff since 2017. She began at an entry level positon as an assistant Teacher, advanced to Lead Teacher and is part of the assitive administrative staff. She also works as a High School English Teacher in one of the largest school districts on Long Island. Ms. Bianca has 13 years of experience in child care to add to Kiddie Kampus and is in persuit of her Masters Degree in English education. 

Gail Farmer

Lead Teacher

Ms. Gail has over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She has held the role of Lead Graduate Classroom Teacher for the past 20 years at Kiddie Kampus. Her decication to watching children learn and discover new things is reflected in her work which has been published, on several occasions, in Mailbox Magazine! Ms. Gail is also an esteemed member of the community, participating in groups such as the Patchogue Lioness Lions Club. 

Tracy Brooks

Lead Teacher

Ms. Tracy is a dedicated member of the Early Childhood Education field with over 30 years of Childcare experience. She is a William Floyd Alumni who graduated with distinction and has been part of the Kiddie Kampus Team for 16 years. Starting as a Teacher’s Assistant, she diligently worked her way up to earning her infant/toddler CDA. Ms. Tracy became and  has remained the lead Two Year old Teacher for the past 7 years.
